Chol Hamoed outings are a highlight of Yom Tov for many families—a chance to spend quality time together and create lasting memories. With the excitement of trips and crowds, it’s important to take a few simple precautions to help keep your child safe.

Before you head out, make sure to attach a completed Child Safety Tag to your child’s coat, sweater, or shirt. The tag should include your contact information or that of a responsible guardian. In the event your child gets separated from you, this can make all the difference in quickly reuniting.

You can download and print Child Safety Tags ahead of time to have them ready for your outings.

It’s also a good idea to take a clear photo of your child on your cellphone or camera before leaving the house. Having an up-to-date picture of their current outfit can be extremely helpful in an emergency.

And most importantly, never leave a child unattended under any circumstances—not even for a moment. A watchful eye is the best safety measure there is.

With a few small steps, you can enjoy your Chol Hamoed outings with greater peace of mind, knowing you’ve done your part to help keep your child safe.
